Okay, confession time. I tried to read Little Women a while ago (think 5 years ago) and I just couldn’t get through it. I read the first 4 pages and put it back on my bookshelf never to be touched again. But guess what? I’m going to tackle it in February! Let me tell you the whole story…
So I was browsing around on Jenni’s blog Jenni Elyse and saw that on her TBR, she was hoping to read Little Women! And she was asking for a buddy read partner! Of course, I was ecstatic. I mean, this book has been gathering dust on my shelf for the past 5 years and I’ve felt so guilty for not finishing it (that and Watership Down). So I commented saying that I would love to be her buddy reading partner. Well, low and behold, it turns out that a bunch of us following Jenni’s blog haven’t had a chance to read it yet! So Jenni, like the totally awesome human being that she is, organized a read-along for all of us and everyone is invited! That’s right, I’m talking to you!

Wow, an online read-a-long sounds awesome… And yes, at some point I'd like to read Little Women too. Unfortunately, with all the busyness/other commitments going on in my life right, I'll have to skip joining in on this read-a-long.

Sounds like fun! I've learned, though, that I tend to either read too fast or too slow for a read-a-long. I haven't read Little Women yet, though I'm sure I'll get to it someday (the film adaptations are great!).~Litha Nelle

I actually have that same problem with buddy reads because once I get into a book, I just want to keep reading past the allotted chapters! I'm going to try and rein it in this month though 🙂 Maybe because it's such a big book, I won't get too far ahead. I have to see the movies too yet – I'm glad to hear you liked them!
